Creative & Collective Leadership: An Embodied Practice
We bring our bodies to every situation but rarely tap into its wisdom and knowing. You are invited to join us and conduct a systemic inquiry into a situation you choose. We will journey from an individual led (ego) understanding of issues to systems (eco) understanding of how to enact change, with the confidence of knowing that the very fact that we are here and alive, gives us ground for right action.
Enacting change is a creative art form. We gather resources together in unique ways, and enter the situation as an explorer, drawing boundaries that include significant influences, and that can support effective action. We practice being open to the perspectives of others and aware that one change can affect the entire system. We practice developing awareness of the collective leadership body, take pause, and allowing new insight to arise, that can inspire fresh action.
This workshop combines Social Presencing Theatre, an embodied action research methodology for working with complex change across personal, organisational and social issues, with principles of systems thinking. We will use systems tools to see into the systems we are part of and prototype new creative ways forward.
