Kind Reflections about Ashe House
Ashe House is surrounded by nature. It is a wonderful place to appreciate the miracles that may go unnoticed by us in our own surroundings.

We have used Ashe House on a number of occasions as a venue for Team Planning Days and we have enjoyed our time there immensely. The venue lends itself to group working; plenty of space in the main room for small group work, spacious and very comfortable kitchen facilities and fabulous grounds for a stroll or contemplation. Would highly recommend it as a venue.

Ashe House is a wonderful inviting place – I loved the mature trees and lovely flowers in the garden. I felt a lot of thought was put into decorating the outdoor space and this added to the whole learning experience.

Ashe House lies hidden off the old Belfast Road about two miles north of Swords. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The purpose built centre, with its extensive gardens, tastefully adjoins the existing old house and is the perfect location to cast aside the cares of day to day living and find the peace and harmony that we all seek.

Ashe House is unexpected, in that my experience of it was that it was so much more than a Training Venue – it was a family home, it generated warmth and hospitality. The tea room off the training room was comfortable – excellent facilities for tea, coffee, microwave, dishwasher, nice fat sofas to relax into – and quite often, we had delicious homemade scones for our first day of the course. Nice touch. Additional breakout room for small groups, and such a lovely garden to wander in – well kept, growth, and always has a splash of colour in all seasons. I loved it all. Most of all, it felt a safe and supportive environment.

I loved this venue from the absolute start of my experience here…the venue in itself is so private, spacious without feeling too large…hugely comfortable and comforting…there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere present and plenty of room to reflect and have space…which leads me onto the beautiful gardens…Ashe House is situated well off the road so as you enter the driveway you will immediately feel away from all the business and stresses of what normal life tends to bring us all.
The actual facilities are second to none…beautiful lighting, again lots of space if needed. The eating and drinking area is separate from the training room and this always worked really well as you feel you are getting a proper break, plus time to walk around and feel the peace that Ashe House generates every time I have been there…
Last but by no way least Ashe House…for me… is “akin to coming home”…I feel blessed to having inhabited and know it…

I love coming to Ashe House. The warm welcome, the fresh coffee, the sound of the wind chimes, the beauty of the garden – the sense of being able to leave the world outside and rest in learning. Gentle hosting, unwavering support, tasty cakes – it’s become a favourite place. Thanks, Anne, for what you’ve created here.

On each occasion at Ashe House I found the grounds, gardens and building very conducive to healing work. The space and atmosphere is of a very high quality that encourages a calm and nourishing space. I really enjoyed my time at the centre.

I cannot say if it is visiting Ireland, the Irish friends I have made, or the training at Ashe House that has had such a profound effect upon my life and the work I do. Perhaps it is the whole experience. Ashe House, which cannot be separated from Anne’s gracious presence, is open, warm, friendly, safe and accepting. A place where I have been able to grow and become fully who I can be. I shall always be grateful for the experience I have had there.
